I’m a freelance writer and theatre worker based in San Francisco and New York. Educated at St. John’s College in Santa Fe, NM, London’s Central School of Speech and Drama, and the Moscow Art Theatre School, I write on the visual and performing arts, as well as fashion, events, social issues, and travel. I take commissions for pieces on any of these subjects. I’m also an apprentice dancer with Fat Chance Belly Dance (larcher123 on YouTube).
My writing has appeared in The Huffington Post, The London Times, San Francisco Examiner, SF Weekly, Art Practical, ArtSlant, The Bay Citizen, New York Moves, Sublime, Zyzzyva, The Rumpus, Fraction Magazine, Hyperallergic, and others. This year I was accepted into the Warhol Foundation and International Art Critics Association’s art writing workshop, to work with mentor Carol Diehl of Art in America.
With Alexis Gordon of the Contemporary Jewish Museum, I have started a quarterly series of panel discussions which I moderate with artists and art world figures.
