   I have to admit, my first reaction was that they could have used better-looking stones, in a more interesting pattern.I’ve lived in this crappy neighborhood too long, that’s all I can say. A jeweled cockroach looks so much better than all the ones I see scuttling along the gutters outside my place.

   The seven-year-old boy I tutor was delighted by this! I think he thought the jewels were a bit silly though. . .
